REGULAR
RING CLARIFICATIONS
1.
HORSE/RIDER
COMBINATIONS: The same Horse/Rider
combination may only cross-enter into divisions where there is a 6” difference
in the fence heights; including Equitation and Jumpers. For instance a ( 2’3”
to 2’6” division and a 2’9” to 3’0” division) or ( 2’6” to 2’9” and a 3’0” to
3’3” division). Riders
showing in Regular Ring are ineligible for the LMHJA Basic Ring, except
for Basic Warm-up and Basic Working Hunter divisions.
2.
REGULAR WARM-UP: !!!! Entries in this class will be
using an open card system open to all fence height divisions to be judged as
one class. A horse/rider combination may
enter once at each eligible fence height each day, but must pay for each
warm-up height entered. There will be no
year-end or championships awarded.
However, each day of the show the top rider in this class will receive a
50% payback.
3.
GREEN WORKING
HUNTER: This class may be run as an open card. The horse may only show in this division for
three years, with one year allowed at each fence height.
4.
MEDAL
CLASSES: Open to LMHJA members only. Riders may only enter 2
medal divisions for the
season. There will be no medal
finals. Points will be accumulated for
year-end championships. Medal classes with four or more riders,
points determined as follows: 1st Place=10 points; 2nd Place=6 points;
3rd Place=4 points; 4th Place=2 points; 5th Place=1 point; 6th
Place=1/2 point. Medal classes with two or three riders, points
determined as follows: 1st Place=5 points; 2nd Place=3 points and
3rd Place=2 points.
5.
JUMPER RULES: Child/Amateur
Adult Jumper & Schooling Jumper:
Table V, Rule 1. Classes scored under Table II. Jump-off will be optimum time. (US Equestrian
Rule, JP149). Low & Modified Jumper:
Table II, Sec. 2a, b, or c at barn discretion (US Equestrian Rule,
JP145.2 and 145.3).
6.
DOVER
CHALLENGE: Open to junior riders who have not competed
above 2’9”.
BASIC RING CLARIFICATIONS
1.
HORSE/RIDER
COMBINATIONS: The
same Horse/Rider combination may only cross-enter into divisions where there
are 6” difference in fence heights. For
instance a 1’6”-1’9” division up to a 2’0” to 2’3” division. Riders showing in Regular Ring are ineligible
for the LMHJA Basic Ring, except for Basic Warm-up and Basic Working
Hunter divisions.
2.
Any rider who has
previously shown in any shows (LMHJA, other association or schooling shows) at
heights of 2’0”or higher are ineligible for Crossrail/Maiden classes.
3.
Crossrail riders can only cross enter into over fence classes that are 1’6” to 1’9” in height.
These are Maiden Equitation, Maiden Working Hunter and Maiden Medal divisions.
4.
Riders finishing
in the top three ribbons for year-end awards in any division must move up in
fence heights to the next division at the start of the following show season.
5.
For a horse/rider
to drop from the LMHJA Regular Ring to the LMHJA Basic Ring, the trainer or
rider must appeal to the LMHJA Board of Directors for a ruling. 6.
Crossrail, Maiden
and Novice Divisions that have more than 20 exhibitors, classes must be split
into two sections, A and B. Separate
awards and points are to be given in each section, A and B. 7.

Additional Notes:
With the New computer
system all riders and all horses in all rings will receive a new membership
number. These membership numbers must be
presented to the show secretary at each show in order to insure proper point
accumulation for year-end awards.

DURING SCHOOLING/WARM-UP, BASIC RING RIDERS
HAVE THE RIGHT-OF-WAY AND CONTROL OF THE BASIC RING. THIS WILL BE MONITORED AND ENFORCED FOR THE
SAFETY OF THE YOUNGER AND LESS EXPERIENCED RIDERS.
